Irina is a founding member of the Boston Trio, an ensemble which The Boston Globe raved "Whenever this trio plays, drop everything and go hear them!" Acclaimed for their superb sense of ensemble and wondrous balance, recent highlights include a performance at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, a tour of Florida featuring a performance at the Flagler Museum and a return to the Sanibel Music Festival, performances at UCLA, Maui Classical Music Festival, Rockport Chamber Music Festival, Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival, Virtuosi Concerts in Winnipeg, and performances of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Boston Philharmonic.


 
 

Duo projects

Irina's current collaborations includes "Rorem, Ravel and Ragtime" with Italian pianist Roberto Plano as well as programs with pianist Inna Faliks.

ADDITIONAL ENSEMBLES

Mistral

MISTRAL, now in its 23rd season, was founded as “Andover Chamber Music” in 1997 by flutist Julie Scolnik and her husband, physicist Michael Brower. Since then, MISTRAL has presented approximately 10-12 concerts a year mainly throughout New England. Mistral currently presents regular concert series in both Andover and Brookline. Irina Muresanu performs regularly with this chamber ensemble. Invited to perform by presenters across the country, Mistral just presented a special November 17, 2019 benefit concert, Hope & Harmony at Boston’s Jordan Hall, in which Ms. Muresanu performed, led by world-renowned conductor Sir Simon Rattle and featuring a full orchestra comprising members from leading ensembles across the United States, whom all donated their services. The benefit raised $100,000. for three organizations in the Greater Boston area.

Walden chamber players

Founded in 1997, the Boston-based Walden Chamber Players has garnered a reputation for being one of the most exciting and versatile chamber groups performing today. Critics have hailed its performances of everything from Bach to Schoenberg, and Chamber Music America Magazine raves: “A season spent with the Walden Chamber Players is a time for discovery." The success of its performances, recordings and educational curricula has earned it a place as one of the most sought-after chamber ensembles in the United States.
